Orb Group hosted the largest promotional merchandise showcase in Scotland. The Showcase was opened on the 4th October at the Marriott in Anderston, Glasgow by Kenneth Gibson the Scottish MSP Convenor of Finance. Other government bodies present were Bill Hamilton Scottish Enterprise, Dr. Gerry Black Knowledge Transfer Program (KTP), Dr Declan Bannon UWS and J. Johnstone UWS; all showing support and thrilled with Orb’s success as a merchandise distributor.
A queue of clients patiently waited on the doors being opened at 09:30. On entry clients were provided with a bag for life which had a free copy of The Drum marketing magazine in it. The hall quickly filled up and soon there was a happy buzz all round the Queen Mary suit.
Client’s enjoyed viewing the products, getting new ideas and receiving good advice and information from the suppliers who all did an exceptional job.
Client’ and suppliers a like embraced the pamper theme having nails manicured, back and neck massages and eyebrows threaded. One supplier, Gerry, entertained everyone when he was only brave enough to have one eyebrow threaded!
As the day came to an end everyone was happy with how helpful and informative the day was. Everyone enjoyed the free samples that were given out too. At 16:00 the doors closed and all suppliers quickly packed up and left to fight the heavy Glasgow traffic and head to Edinburgh for the second leg.
Day two was hosted at the Hibernian Football Stadium, Forthview suit which looks directly onto the well kept football stadium. The second day saw more high quality clients being impressed with the wide and varied range of products that the suppliers had put on display for Orb Group. Everyone enjoyed the food and drink provided by Hibs with many suppliers and clients raved about the Hibs ‘chicken curry pie’.
Now back at the office Orb have the mammoth task of following up over 300 leads! We will be in touch soon.
